Dried mushrooms
Dried MycoMedica mushrooms are whole fruiting bodies or finely ground organic powders without additives. They are suitable for cooking, for a traditional decoction or for stirring into a drink.

The mushrooms come from controlled cultivation with hand harvesting, and MycoMedica has them tested by the German laboratory Agrolab. Dried mushrooms are a food – they contain no additives, only the mushroom itself.
Whole dried mushrooms for cooking
Edible species such as Shiitake, Maitake, Hericium or Auricularia (wood ear) just need to be soaked in hot water, left to swell and added to soups, risotto or stir-fries. Dried Hericium has a fibrous, crab-like texture after cooking; Auricularia increases its volume several times after soaking. Pack size 100 g. Always cook mushrooms before eating.
Mushrooms for decoctions
The hard fruiting bodies of Reishi and crushed Chaga are not eaten; they are used to make a traditional decoction: about 10 g of mushroom per 1 litre of water, steep for 15 minutes and then simmer gently for about 30 minutes. Reishi decoction is bitter and can be softened with honey. The bitterness comes from triterpenes, which are typical of Reishi. Chaga is also suitable for a home-made tincture.
Organic mushroom powders
Organic powders (100 g) are ground fruiting bodies or mycelium – for example Reishi, Chaga, Hericium, Maitake, Shiitake, Cordyceps, Tremella or Polyporus. The usual amount is 1–3 g a day stirred into water, a smoothie or porridge. The full overview is in the mushroom powders category.
