It contains polysaccharides and substances typical only of this mushroom – hericenones in the fruiting body and erinacines in the mycelium. In this category you will find MycoMedica Hericium in all forms.
Extracts in capsules
- Hericium PRO – organic extract from both fruiting body and mycelium, min. 30 % beta-glucans, min. 0.2 % hericenones and min. 0.3 % erinacines.
- Hericium 50 % – min. 50 % polysaccharides and min. 20 % beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucans.
- Hericium – extract with min. 30 % polysaccharides, lasting 45–90 days at 1–2 capsules a day.
Each capsule contains 500 mg of extract; the pack has 90 plant capsules suitable for vegans. The PRO version is the only one that combines fruiting body and mycelium and therefore has both groups of typical substances guaranteed.
Powder, dried mushroom and honey
Organic Hericium powder (100 g) can be stirred into water, a smoothie or porridge. Dried Hericium are whole fruiting bodies for cooking – after soaking and cooking, their taste and texture resemble crab. MedoGastro combines blossom honey with Hericium fruiting-body powder, acerola and a pinch of ginger.
Hericium in combinations
Hericium is often combined with Reishi – see the Reishi PRO and Hericium PRO bundle – or with Cordyceps in the Hericium PRO and Cordyceps PRO set in the bundles and sets category. More mushrooms are in the MycoMedica and mushroom powders categories.
Use
For capsules, the manufacturer states 1–3 capsules a day on an empty stomach, with breaks as described on the label. These are food supplements and do not replace a varied diet. GrowMedica is an official MycoMedica partner.
