It affects nutrient metabolism and regulates water balance. However, its most significant and most extensively studied effect is in treating infertility in both men and women. Thanks to its content of natural steroidal substances (phytosterols), it stimulates the production of the body's own androgenic and estrogenic hormones (testosterone and estrogen), thereby affecting libido and potency. It also helps with prostate enlargement and menopausal symptoms.

Preparation method

Pour approximately 0.5 grams—up to a maximum of 0.75 g—of the dried aerial parts (one level teaspoon) with boiling water and let steep for 15 minutes.
